    Damaged SD card

    Hi all

I constantly get a message stating that the external SD card is damaged and usually when I have transferred over most of my installed APPS. Is there a way of recovering the data or is it that I have format the card again and download everything again?

Any advice on data recovery and successful APP backups to prevent this scenario again would be very useful.

    Thanks

    Pete

I had a similar problem when I put me sd card in,assumed it was because my galaxy s didn't recognise the format properly,so I dragged the apps to my pc let my phone format the card and transfered apps back,no problem since.I am assuming this was my problem. As for backing up apps root your phone and install titanium pro excellent program.

    Thanks for the reply.

    1. How did you drag your APPS to your PC. At the moment I just use KIES but that does not seem to backup the APPS.

You do this on the phone. Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Select the app you want to move > press move to phone.

I also found a guide 'How to fix a damaged SD card on an Android phone without losing any data'
