App required for Non Rooted Phone Required

I have come across an app called DroidWall this is a firewall app that blocks apps on your phone from connecting to the internet. However to use DroidWall you have to have a phone that is rooted.

I do not have a rooted phone but would like a similar application for my samsung G2, does anyone know of such an application. I have looked about but can only find apps for Rooted phones. Can anyone suggest an app.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Scared phone is only 4 month old and I do not know how to root and worry it will go wrong and I will end up with an expensive paper weight. Any advice?

Yep, Root your phone

As far as I know, anything to block apps for getting on the internet requires Super User permission.

Also read up on the How too's for Rooting your phone. (Don't pick the files for the SGS)
