Info on flashing

Hello,

I recently updated my firmware to 2.3.4. How ever I have noticed that there is 2.3.5 but im a little confused. If I download the KI3 or KI8 of 2.3.5 is it the same procedure via odin. Plug phone in with download mode > Start odin > Select PDA file > Flash, or is there more to it. I noticed that there is a samfirmware? and found you have to use PIT and stuff.

Im on T-mobile UK.

Btw I went on the XDA site but all i could find was 2.3.5 nordic version. Would that still work and show up in english?

There isn't much to it at all - it's very quick and easy. You can flash KI3 or KI8, and follow the same procedure for each. Note you must have installed Kies onto your computer as Odin needs the drivers, but make sure Kies is closed before flashing. The Nordic version of KI8 will run fine, but you can flash a "Frankenstein" version which marries KI8 with the generic European XEU CSC. If you want to do that, find Intratech's "Official i9100 Firmwares..." thread on XDA, download the XWKI8 package which has PDA XWKI8, modem XXKI4 and CSC XEUKH2. Extract the .tar file and flash in the same way. Follow his instructions at the top of the thread and you shouldn't go wrong.
