S2 USB Connection Problem

Hi,
I noticed about a week ago that the USB connection on my S2 no longer works. If I plug it into a PC (I've tried several xp & w7) it charges but the PC does not see it. It can't be seen in device manager and it doesn't appear like a drive like it did in the past. It also can't be seen by Kies so I can't transfer or backup files. I've tried the USB debug mode but that does nothing. Has anyone else had this issue or recommend something I can try to resolve it?

Have you tried un-installing and re-installing the drivers for the phone.

Yes, I tried re-installing the drivers. It's bizarre as I've tried it on several different computers and none can see the S2 but the phone does get a charge through the USB cable. I have tried different USB cables as well to no avail.

Yes, I've tried that also. No luck :-(

Have you tried kies air yet,it works fine to view folders on phone on your pc,dont know about copying files as it will be slower than usb.

Kies Air still works but that has limited functionality compared to the USB connection.

Have you tried a different cable, yours could be damaged.

I've tried 3 different cables that all worked before and I've just reset the device but nothing works. I'm thinking it's a hardware issue as I can't find any reference to the same problem online. I'll give the mobile company a ring tomorrow to see if they will repair it.
