    Battery

I rooted using CF method and got 30 hours battery with medium to heavy usage on the stock ROM. I then flashed VillainROM 3.0 and restored all my apps via titanium pro and now I'm getting only 12 hours with medium usage. I've setCPU app installed as well, but I don't see how my battery could be draining so fast all of a sudden?

Any recommendations on how to improve it again to what it was like?

Could I get a list of which apps to freeze and/or delete using titanium? I heard that it can make a huge difference to the battery life.

Can't seem to find a good list of such apps anywhere.

    Thanks.

When you restored using TB Pro did you also restore the app data?
Flash back the stock rom that you were on and you should get back you 30 hours.

I also find that when I flash firmware, the battery needs a second charge before it settles down (sometimes it drains fast or lasts for a long time on first use).

I can't remember if I did restore with the app data or not! All I know is that my details were present when I got the apps back so I assume that would mean I did include the app data?

To flash back the ROM....do I do it via CWM and put it into recovery and proceed that way?

Generally it's not wise to restore apps and data if you're moving from one firmware to another, an exception to this rule may be when updating from the similar firmware (ie Darky Rom 10 to Darky Rom 10.1 etc).

If you want to flash a stock rom again then I guess you would have to do it via Odin. Don't think CWM allows you to flash stock roms that way.

In future go into cwm and make a backup of the rom you're on before flashing. I doubt the titanium retore would have effected battery life that much if it ws just user apps. I do this with data every time on loads of different roms. Did you set setcpu to performance and 1.6 GHz cos that'd probably do it.

So in the future, when restoring apps, only backup the app itself and not app+data or app+system data?

No I had everything on conservative setting in SetCPU. I uninstalled it anyways and I'll see how I get on with this charge.

    Thanks.

I restore app data. You shouldn't restore any system data though as things are more likely to go wrong
