Thanks, Tufftoad... i just flashed using Odin only the PDA file and it works fine... went from KH1 gingerbread 2.3.3 to KI4 gingerbread 2.3.4... curious though, it looks like i still have all my contacts/messages/apps after flash... should i need to do a hard reset?

If you don't mind starting from new then I would carry out a Factory reset after flashing and maybe even format the internal storage.

I take it when you go Menu > Settings > About phone and towards the bottom the firmware version is 2.3.4?

mysky911.. well i only had it for half a day but i did notice some battery life improvement. that is based on the graph from battery usage screen being less steep than normal. also the hardware acceleration in stock browser seems to work great. i loaded anandtech.com and it scrolled super smooth.

downside is that social hub now cannot add gmail accounts. i miss having multiple gmail accounts in one place

EDIT: fixed social hub gmail problem by turning off premium account check box and manually setting IMAP for incoming/outgoing... happy again

After you update to this firmware, can our S2 still receiving official update through KIES?

Hahahaha.... just check on KIES, I9100DXKI2 officially on KIES now... will update to this official ROM first.....

Still on 2.3.3.. WHY????
however, quite happy on it....
-Swype updated to 3.2.3 (with multilangual support)
-use less batteri
-will find out more....
