I would just the flash the phone with new firmware that has a multi csc file, then you will get rid of the branding and be able to choose a UK region.

can you suggest one ? there are so many to choose from, i have read that to flash you must have the closest match , with mine being a bok i have no idea. Thanks again.
I don't own an SGS2 so can't offer advice. You'll be better off waiting for another forum member to suggest or checking out some of the other threads, maybe - Galaxy SII Android Development
Would getting the phone un locked , solve the csc issue?
Maybe not too sure on the unlocking process, flashing new firmware would solve the csc problem. Just read a guide before deciding, if not get the phone unlocked anyway.
