Has anyone successfully connected to Tiscali?

HELP - I have duplicated all the settings from my Outlook 2003 and entered port 110 for incoming and port 25 for outgoing, but still can't connect to Tiscali (TalkTalk). The phone appears to accept the incoming settings but not the outgoing. Am I using the right ports? Needless to say, the Tiscali/TalkTalk technical helpline is being less than helpful.

did you check "require sign-in"? also try port 587

Yes, I have done both and still it won't connect.

use your mobile provider SMTP then, for example on O2 it would be smtp.o2.co.uk

Thanks for your help so far. I've tried smtp.vodafone.co.uk and both ports 25 and 587. Still no joy.

try send.vodafone.net ?

I had the same problem, i used these settings and it all worked fine:

user.name@tiscali.co.uk (put in your own email address)
pop.tiscali.co.uk
Port: 110

smtp.tiscali.co.uk
Port: 25

Thanks, but I have entered exactly the same information as you numerous times and it still won't work. I can't understand why.
