Failed updating from I9000XXJF3 to I9000XXJF7: white screen of death??

    I think I need a little help.

I tried to update my SGS from I9000XXJF3 to I9000XXJF7.

I followed the steps with Odin etc etc....bu now my device does not reboot anymore! It only shows a white screen with blue letters "AT&T WORLD PHONE".

I can not get the device in download mode or recovery mode anymore. When I'm pushing volume down + home + on/off button, it shows the same white screen.

What can I do now? I hope I didn't brick the device....

    hello

ive had a few problems today with flashing, have you took the battary out than retry to get to download mode,if you can get to download mode what pit file was you using i had a lot trouble with pit 513 today and had to use 512 pit
the phone is quite hard to brick from what i have read might set ur mind at rest a little

did you flash all files in the f/w rar pad, modem, csc

what i had to do was install jg1 using pit 513 then upgrade to jg3 using 513 but to get to jg5 i had to use 512 pit file

    Hi,

Yes I tried everything to get it back to work again... took out the battery 20 times, it just doesn't work. When i was updating, i was using pit 513.

I flashed only the PDA, as was told in the tutorial.

hello mate on my phone its a black screen rather than a white one, when you press the vol down and the home key then the power button keep them pressed in for a sec release then quickly push them all in again a couple of times you should get to the download screen,as im not sure but i dont think you can not get there by bricking gthe phone but i have too only flashed the pda part only for to mess up and have to reflash it took a good 10 flashs today to get it working again
