Lock my email widget/app from prying eyes

Hi, This is my first post here after a bit of lurking...

I just bought my samsung galaxy s2 a few days a go and I love it but I have a problem that I need to fix. I have my email displayed on the original widget on screen 4 of my phone and it works great. My only concern is that the email box is my work email and the information there might be confidential. Therefore I can not lend the phone to my collegues or friends (for them to make a quick phonecall for example) without hovering overthem like a mad man.

Is there a way to lock the mail box so that I can enter a seperate password for that? (preferrable so that I can see if new emails have arrived but not the contents)

    My best regards,
    Richard Armour

    Any ideas?

Hopefully I am not beeing unclear...

What I need is an app/setting that would allow me to see if I have any new emails (and maybe even see the "subject") but make sure that nobody could get into my email account without a password/pincode.

    Repectfully,
    Richard

    Hi Richard

I use "App Protector pro". It costs you less than $2 and it's worth it! You can protect any app with a password or a lock pattern.

If you protect the email app, you can still use the e-mail widget on the homescreen to see the new email and its subject. As soon as you touch the email to open, it will ask for the password or the lock pattern. Just make sure you protect all the apps that have access to your business email.

I used it with the Galaxy S and now with Galaxy S2 and it works fine.

Just go to the App Market and watch the demo video.

    Best regards
    Gregory
