    upgrading to gingerbread

    Hello, want to upgrade my gt 19000 s to gingerbread but getting confused with various statements on the web.
    some say remove external memory and sim,,,is this neccessary.
    some say apps wont be lost...is this true
    some say sinc all to google.. how exactly.
    samsung say backup all to phone,,anybody tried this.
    Or do I just follow details on kies
    HELP please

    Read the forum and you'll find all your answers

    1: No don't need to.

    2: Depends how you flash. Odin: Yes kies: Mainly not. Should you factory reset: Yes. Will you lost apps and settings: Yes. Why? Avoids lost of problems

    3: Sync Contacts to Google. How, Look in the contacts menu under contacts.

    4: If Rooted, Use Titanium Back. Backup apps and there data only, only backup system stuff if staying on the same firmware. Not Rooted, There are other backup apps that can backup your apps

    5: I believe kies is bad. I like odin Much quicker, safer and doesn't make you do bad things

    6: Read the Forum.

    7: Read the Forum again, your questions you have, have been answered.

    8: Using Kies or Odin. Make sure you have the 3 button combo. If thing's go wrong, and your using kies you'll need it.

    9: If you don't know what 3 button combo is, Read the forum again.

    10: I just needed a Ten
