    I'm excited to announce the Viber 2.1.3 is finally available for download on Market.
    First and foremost, this new version is compatible with ICS (Android 4) - so the long anticipation is finally over

    In addition, the new version contains bug fixes and small new features for your convenience.

    viber disconnected

    Hi Viber Team,

    I sucessfully downloaded and installed Viber on my Samsung Galaxy S from the Market. I've been using it for several months now already and everything was fine until about a week ago. Two messages keep on coming back. "Viber service is currently unavailable or being blocked. Please try again later. Place regular call instead?" AND "This contact does not yet have viber. Press Continue to place a regular call through your carrier. To place a free viber call, this contact must also have Viber installed." But my contact has viber already and we've been using viber for several months already. My viber contact said that he can send messages and call me thru viber but it will just keep on ringing. On my part also, I did not receive his messages and calls. Even the missed calls notifications are not coming anymore also.

    I have tried deactivating and reactivating my account. I was able to receive SMS also for the new viber code. I have tried uninstalling viber and then re-installing it. But still, the same messages are coming. I cannot use it with wifi connection or even in my service provider's packet data.

    Please help me to get the app running back again. It's a great way for me to save on overseas calls. I'm in UAE. I know viber is blocked here but I was able to use it perfectly for a few months already.

    Hi,
    Unfortunately, a few weeks ago the UAE's authorities have decided to expand the block over to more ISP's and cellular providers in the country, and that is why Viber was working before, and then all of a sudden stopped working.

    We were reported similar cases, mainly from DU users, in the past couple of weeks.

    Unfortunately there is not much we can do to help
    You might want to ask around with friends or Google this case to find helpful solutions, but as a company there is no official solution we can offer.

    Hi Viber,
    I sucessfully downloaded and installed Viber on my Samsung Galaxy S2, but I can't receive the viber's code , I'm waiting 60 seconds but code did not receive then I press get call from viber to make authorization but still did not receive any call , I try to do this few times, then I was block for 24 hours , so what problem may be that I can't receive viber's code?

    What country are you located in? Which cellular network?

    Meanwhile - please try removing Viber, wait 24 hours, reinstall and try again (make sure you try both the SMS and the automated call options). If this doesn't help, contact our support team at http://support.viber.com and give them the details of the problem.

    My friend has just installed avast mobile security, he was setting up the anti theft support for his phone, when it warned him that Viber has unusually high priority to the sms application. Avast was forcing him to cancel the anti theft setup.

    The device is an i9300 in the UK, non rooted and on the latest update. He also has Voxer, Skype, Whatsapp and probably more, Viber was the only one to have high priority access to Sms

    Any one else with this problem? Or with similar problem?
