Hi,
Does anyone know without downloading an app if there is any way of changing what Smileys appear when you type txts because for example there are no android angry faces or worried faces etc... in fact the smiley faces are very limited and to be honest I much prefer the standard round faces to the android ones?

Try searching the market for something like "Android smiley pack"

Yeah downloaded one but firstly it changes everything so I'm quite unfamiliar with the layout and secondly it doesn't have better Smileys, they are just the same.
I basically want the grouping of Smileys that you can get for example on this forum, any suggestions?

Use handcent instead of the stock app. Then Settings>Application settings>Smileys settings>custom>android smileys. I tried in the stock, but couldn't see how to change it. However, the change seems to carry over to the stock one

What you must remember is that the recipient won't see the smilies unless they also have the pack installed.

So if you include a ' ' in your message, the person you are sending it to will only see :-)

Its the lack of variety that I'm disappointed with but maybe they don't want us to express anger!!!
