Hone or Apps screen on wakeup?

I've been trying to figure out if it's possible to bypass the initial splash screen (sorry I don't know what it's called) that needs to be swiped out of the way in order to go to the home screen. I'd prefer to go straight to the apps screen when the phone wakes up if possible.

Then the problem I have with the Home and Apps screens is if I have the phone on a stand and using a BT Mouse and KB, those screens do not auto rotate into Landscape mode, so the mouse pointer is not usable unless you prop the phone up in Portrait mode. Is there any way to make those screens auto rotate as well?

    Regards, Tom

You could try nolock from the market but I'm not sure as I've not really used it, I use widget locker. As for autorotating homescreen, if touchwiz doesn't support it I know at least that Go Launcher Ex does as I use it.

    Thanks for that Mark,

I installed the nolock and it works great. I've also installed Go Launcher Ex and so far have not been able to figure out how to make it auto rotate the homescreen.

It's in preferences - operation settings - screen rotation if you haven't found it yet.

    Thanks Mark,

I couldn't find preferences, must have been looking in the wrong place. As it seemed to rearrange my screens and place some other apps on it that needed to be downloaded, and I found it rather unituitive I had already uninstalled it. So after your post I reinstalled it and looked for preferences, but still no luck.....

I've also been looking at programs such as 'Launcher Pro' but can;t tell if it will do it or not.

just press the menu button (bottom left), it's preferences not settings, which is the android bit.

    Thanks Mark,

That did it. Now I'll try getting the desktop back to more like the way it was, I can't seem to function well with the default they provide.
