    Display Illuminated Continuously while Powered?

    Hi guys

I'm still early days with my SGS2 so please excuse any 'numpty' questions!

    1. Is there anyway I can keep my screen illuminated while the fone is externally powered?

    2. If the above is possible, is there a way in which it can be 'remembered' so I don't have to go through setting each time?

    Cheers

    John

You might want to investigate an automation app called 'Tasker'.

I haven't used it personally, mainly because it apparently kills your phone's battery life and it's not free, but it should be able to detect the phone is in charge state and stop the screen from sleeping.

It really doesn't effect battery life.

That really depends on what device states you've asked it to monitor.

E.g. if it's continually polling for your GPS location, that's bound to have some affect.

Go to the application you want to stay on, select the option to keep screen on from its settings. almost all apps have this setting feature which do not require repeated touch, for ex. wifi analyser, books etc. let me know if you have other questions.
