    Angry Cannot turn ON 3G

Hi everyone, I have a bit of a strange problem - my SGSII is about 2 months old now. Last month, when I was in poor signal areas, the phone automatically went to 3G and 2G. This month, it won't work.

I've tried everything I can think of -

    1. Turned off Wi-Fi
    2. Long pressed the power button to make sure that data network mode is on
    3. Went to Settings -> Wireless & Network -> Mobile Networks. My 'use packet data' is checked. Network mode is GSM/WCDMA (Auto mode) is selected, although I have also selected the 'GSM only' and 'WCDMA only' options to no avail.

For the 'Access Point Names' option, I only have one option which is 'PAYG WAP', which is strange because I am on a monthly contract!

I went to the Vodafone shop today and the girl said she would send it away (but I wasn't too confident that she knew her stuff if you know what I mean!)

Please help me guys - I know you can fix this for me!

Dont know if this will help but apparently the sgs2 has problems accepting network settings from provider so needs a manual helping hand, or at least it does with O2.
Here is what needs doing for O2, maybe vodaphone have similar?

    1. Tap the Menu key
    2. Tap Settings
    3. Tap Wireless & network
    4. Tap Mobile networks
    5. Make sure that the Use packet data box has a green tick in it (tap box to change)
    6. Tap Access Point Names
    7. Tap the Menu key
    8. Tap New APN
    9. Tap Name then tap the text box and enter O2 Pay Monthly then tap OK
    10. Tap APN then tap the text box and enter wap.o2.co.uk then tap OK
    11. Tap Proxy then tap the text box and enter 193.113.200.195 then tap OK
    12. Tap Port then tap the text box and enter 8080 then tap OK
    13. Tap Username then tap the text box and enter o2wap then tap OK
    14. Tap Password then tap the text box and enter password then tap OK
    15. Skip past Server as this is preset as Not set
    16. Tap MMSC then tap the text box and enter http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 then tap OK
    17. Tap MMS proxy then tap the text box and enter 193.113.200.195 then tap OK
    18. Tap MMS port then tap the text box and enter 8080 then tap OK
    19. Tap MCC then tap the text box and enter 234 then tap OK
    20. Tap MNC then tap the text box and enter 10 then tap OK
    21. Tap Authentication type and tap PAP
    22. Tap APN type and tap Internet + MMS
    23. Press the Menu key
