firmware upgrade

i am facing difficulties upgrading my gs2 through kies and want to know if there is chance of getting malware and viruses if upgraded through odin...if i upgrade through odin using the official firmware of my country will i void my warranty and also want to know if i can get later upgrades through kies up upgraded through odin??????????

As long as you use the appropriate rom from here then it won't void your warranty and will still be upgradeable through kies (samsung use odin btw). All the main custom firmwares from xda should be safe to install as well, you can flash stock back again to avoid warranty issues.
