Yep, what we've been waiting for.
I've been on it a few hours now (http://blog.clove.co.uk/2011/07/08/b...version-2-3-4/), so far found this:
Camera – no shutter sound in silent mode now (Tasker users can therefore effectively remove the shutter sound altogether, without needing any hacks or mods), can take pictures beneath 15% battery (without flash at any rate), I haven’t had a chance yet to see whether the pink spot is completely gone
Screen wake delay – mixed reports, for me its improved, but not always instant
Android OS battery usage seems significantly less a factor
Google Video Chat indeed present and working, furthermore native Android SIP is now present in settings
Few new apps in the Samsung apps area, I note now that the new games aren’t full versions like most of the others, but trials
Nothing has changed in the games hub, although Gameloft did release Starfront Collision and Dungeon Hunter 2 HD for the SGSII in the last few days if you missed it
Music players still cannot read genre tags properly, FLAC tags are also still read incorrectly
Good news, I assume with tasker you mean set it to goto silent profile when camera is activated, good idea that I think I'll try out. Now all I need is a new litening rom for 2.3.4.
Cool just updated, I'm very interested in battery improvement
odd thing it still says 2.3.3 andriod version ?

RE: Tasker - yep, set to silent on camera app, exit task stops silent. Works perfectly, now I have a silent camera without needing to push files with ADB or any other such nonsense.

Anyone else notice the lack of flash player ie youtube or nasa tv ? My old phone let me play these no problem especially tv catchup. I even updated it on the market too.

Ok so if I want to update my phone to 2.3.4 I have downloaded that odin +PIT + Flashguide, it says it v1.83, I already have v1.85 from when I put lite 1.5 on phone, can i use that instead..?, also Im so confused about the kernels and firmwares etc phone is KE7 atm, so if I put on KG1 as from the link, this is 2.3.4 ?, do I need to just put it in PDA box, or do all like the guide says PIT,PDA,PHONE,CSC, click all 3 boxes on top..? this is confusing cos in other posts when flashing it says DO NOT tick those boxes. apologies for my questions I am trying to get my head around all this and be confident in using and customising this superb phone.I think basically I need a guide that a 3yr old could understand :P
