Big problem with internal SD storage - Galaxy S2

    Hi to all people,

I've been exploring my new Galaxy S2 and don't know how but... my camera can't save pics on internal SD card (11Gb) cause storage option in Camera option is in grey and "Phone" is selected...

Also I can't move applications to SD so I think problem is in SD detection... but I've no idea at all... I tried to mount and umount with CMW in Recovery Mode but nothing... anyone can help me please?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi tshareef,

But there's no way to save pics directlly on internal SD Card when making a photo? also it's imposible to move apps to SD (when the app is "movable"). So if you don't have an external SD card as me and if you go to Camera options... can u select SD?

    Thx

Just checked my SGSII and I have no problem selecting Phone or Memory Card as the Sorage medium under settings.

If you go into Settings -> Storage

What does it say for SD card?

If you have an adapter for the micro SD card can you see if a computer can see it too, or another phone?

Also what type of micro SD card do you have? (Manufacturer, model, size, class)

    Is it a microSDHC?

    Hi,

I have the same issue. I can transfer files to the internal 'SD Memory' from PC and the phone plays the music etc but I cannot set a directory for the taken images or move apps over, it just says 'insufficient memory'.
Also my gs2 does not recognise an external SD card (8Gb SanDisk microSDHC) at all, just greyed out boxes in the settings. This card worked in my Samsung i900 so I assumed it would just pop straight in with all my music, pics and videos. Tried reformatting the card in the PC to various standards with no resolution.

I think I'll be going back to the shop and asking for a new one unless they know something we clearly don't! Perhaps this batch of phones have an issue.

The phone does not recognise it so you can't format it in the phone. You don't have the option to unmount the card

If the phone does not recognise the card then this is a serious issue with compatability.

Scorpuk thank- you for the above as ive been fiddling now for 5 days trying to sort my gs2 with the above problem, this has sorted it out, was about to take my sg2 back to the shop along with 32g card. Happy days as this problem was starting to infuriate me.
