PC Connection only available in idle. Close running applications

I am trying to connect my Samsung Galaxy S2 to my computer and keep getting that message.


I go to the task manager and there are no applications running.


Any suggestions?

I too am having same problem, updated to latest version of kies last night (dunno why) and now can't tether via usb. Getting message "pc connection available only in idle, close running apps"
I have all apps closed, well what task manager is showing is no active apps, and tether via usb is greyed out and i'm unable to click on it.
I have changed no settings and wi-fi hotspot connection is working fine.
ANY info would be appreciated.
