Messaging always in task manager as active...

    Hi

When I use the back button to exit from messaging and check in task manager messaging always shows as still active and I can only exit it from task manager. This also happens if I exit messaging via the home key.

Would any one know please if this is usual and if so is there a way of exiting messaging so that it does not remain active in the task manager, or is this a fault?

    Thank you for your help.

This is usual for the android os. It keeps apps that are regularly used stored in memory so they can launch quickly. If something else needs to use the memory it is just cleared out.
