    Galaxy S ll registration

I've made several attempts to register my phone with Samsung. I registered onto the Samsung.co.uk site and went through the procedure of registering the phone. The Model drop-down menu listed various models of GT-i9100 with various codes after the 9100 like LKAEIR. My phone does not have any letters after it's name, just GT-i9100.
It does have SSN: -i9100GSMH which is'nt listed.
I wrote to Samsung (through the query section) and got a stock reply:

    1) Go to www.samsung.com/uk
    2) On the top right banner you will find a link called “My Samsung”
    3) Click on the link and then sign in with your email and password.
    4) Find “My product” tab then click “New product registration”
    5) In the model code Type “Product Model code” then clicks check.
    6) Then you will find your product then choose it.
    7) Type in the serial number and the rest of the information then finish the registration.

I tried all that to no avail as my phone is not in the list. I chose one at random and put in my serial number but when I click "Submit" I just get a message saying "not saved"

Just been through the same process. Comically, it seems to think the i9100 is a microwave judging from the illustration.

I did have trouble though. Had to do it twice. But I also put in the model as shown on the phone: GT-I9100 (note the i is a capital). That seemed to find it ok.

As a website it's surprisingly primitive imo

I don't think it's a good idea to post your imei and serial number on here.

Call them on 0330 726 7864 and they can register for you. You dont need to register FYI, if you are talking warranty. Just keep your POP and they can use the serial number to get the date of manufacture. I would remove the pic from your original post FYI, anyone can use this to their advantage and if they log your IMEI/SN details with Samsung before you for their own gains, it could be a problem for you when it comes to using your warranty.

I tried again last night and lo and behold it worked. The drop-down menu now shows the GT-i9100 without any letters after, just on it's own. Chose that and everything worked. Maybe they passed on my complaint to the tech guys. Anyway it's done but I'm not impressed.

I have no idea how to delete that picture from my post.
