Wifi not working after rooting galaxy s

I upgraded to Gingerbread 2.3.3 earlier today, and I after that I rooted the phone using
    Odin3 v.1.3,
    CF root-XW_OXX_JV1-v1.3-Busybox-1.17.1.tar, and
    Kernel _XXJVK.tar.

I then opened Titanium backup to restore my previous apps. But I never got that far. As soon as I opened Titanium backup, the splashscreen appears and then the media scanner starts up -this keeps on repeating every 20 seconds until I manage to turn off wifi.
I tried a factory reset but with no result.
    Can somebody please help me??

Try doing a wipe data/factory reset from the recovery menu. To get into recovery, power phone off and wait until phone vibrates. Press and hold the following keys, Volume up + Home + power, when phone boots to the boot screen(Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000) release just the power key. From there use the Vol Up Down to navigate to wipe data/factory reset, use the power key(some phones it's the home key) to ok your selection.

Don't use CF Root myself and could be way off here.

Did you flash JVK GB? Should the CF Root also be JVK, rather than JV1?
I could be wrong, I usually am. (Because it's only a phone)

Good point stonkr, I didn't spot that.

Butch, tell us which version of GB you flashed

According to the post on XDA it is NO PROBLEM to flash new JVK version over old JV1 or JVK version!

I think you should have used CF-Root for JVO. JVI is a later firmware.

So what can I do about it now? I am open for anything to get this phone working again. Now, it's useless. I can't install any apps, can't restore my backup - nothing!
