    It did connect before, but now its just failing to connect. Looks like its trying and then it stops.

    Ensure you have no apps running on the phone, even the background (long-press on a blank area of your home screen and select Widgets, Power Control for a useful widget to help check this). Unplug USB from PC, restart Kies, connect USB again - what does the Galaxy S show on-screen then?

    There are plenty of threads here regarding Kies connection issues, so get that sorted and we'll move on to the firmware upgrade thereafter...

    I wish I wasnt so useless!!
    Its not working, so im going to have to read up on it and then try again - probably tomorrow if im lucky!

    Its not working, so im going to have to read up on it and then try again - probably tomorrow if im lucky!

    Guys, its still not connecting....dunno whats going on!?
    I have tried to find posts on how to connect when having issues, but cant find anything....can you point me in the right direction?

    Im on Kies beta, and there isnt anything showing up, it says "Firmware related features will be available in the official version of Samsung Kies for Mac"
