    Smile Samsung galaxy s2

    Hello
Finally my contract has come to an end, and so I was wondering what phone you would recomment. I had n95, then now n97 (which isnt TOO bad - but alot better phones out).

Also one feature i liked was built in fm transmitter - I can't see this on many phones, is there one on galaxy s2?

Seen Samsung Galaxy s2 - do you reckon its the best phone out in near future (next month or two) or is there a phone worth waiting for? Or a better phone? The only real competitor I can see is HTC Sensation....
Is battery life as big as an issue as everybody makes up?

Really am tempted by it :/ but dont want there to be a better one out. :P

    Cheers

Yes it has a FM radio. although with Tune in ( the web radio app ) i never use it as this has radio 1 and all my local stations at better quality.

as for battery. How long does your laptop last for??? 3 hours maybe 6 if a netbook? and look at the size of the battery in that. the SGS2 is a Computer. it has all and more of a laptops featchers and with using it constantly ( playing ) it last around 6-8 Hours.

As a phone it lasts a full day easy ( while still updating facebook emails etc. ) i dont have and battery saving options in use!

My i8910 lasted less and did a lot less.

After years on Symbian, initially UIQ, I ended up with the Samsung 8910i. After that I decided to switch to Android and I reckon the S2 is currently the best on the market, particularly if the camera is important to you (there's a comparison somewhere with the N8 and it doesn't do too badly).

Also one feature i liked was built in fm transmitter - I can't see this on many phones, is there one on galaxy s2?
No, it does not have an FM transmitter. I think you'll be pushed to find a phone with this.

From the reviews I read HTC mobiles don't have particularly good cameras - yes, you guessed it, the camera's important to me and certainly when I was looking the S2 specs were way ahead of the competition.

Here I did find a BIG problem. It wouldn't last a working day of what I call normal use (Medium use looking at other posts) and for me this is vital. Having said that, by applying various measures I now get about 1.5 days which I think reasonable. I should say that one of the big improvements was the additional control given by rooting the phone. If you are not confident in doing this you might want to check out the battery life of other mobiles.

Having said that, I don't think poor battery life is limited to the S2, rather Android phones in general. This is particularly when compared to Symbian phones.

    Good luck with your search.
