you can edit excel on your phone, I don't know what stock apps everyone else had, but mine came with Polaris Office, which has spreadsheets etc. I haven't used that facility except to have a peek, so I don't know the depth of complexity it has, but it looks like a normal windows spreadsheet. You can also open stored files from that application, so presumably you can edit existing sheets.
