Thanks, but I can't get Odin to work. The window simply doesn't pop up. Any suggestions?

You put Odin on your PC not on the phone, but you still need the drivers for the phone loaded properly.

Also make sure you launch Odin from the downloaded file - don't remove the 'building bricks' to your desktop.
If you want it there use a mouse right click and create a shortcut.
