    Metal Rim?

Is the metallic looking rim around the edge of the phone actually metal (as some reviews have said)? If so, does this act as an aerial, like the iphone 4, except in this case it works?!!!

Just wondering if a makeshift connection to a larger metal object might help improve the GPS signal. Should be easy to rig something up for in car use.

    Thoughts?

Just had a look, seems to be plastic to me.
Can't see it improving GPS signal though. Try using something like Sygic or Skyhook for GPS improvements, have a look through these threads for more info:

Thanks. I've been following the threads about GPS, but thought i'd chuck this into the mix.
