Questions before buying a Samsung Galaxy S

Hi everyone. Im very interested in buying the Samsung Galaxy S, but I have some questions I hope you can answer. I have an Omnia HD, which is a great phone, but Samsung did a poor job with the updates. Thats one thing I hate about Samsung, the dont care enough about updates.

1. Do you think well see Android 3.0 on the Samsung Galaxy S? If not by official update, can it be ported doing root and all that stuff? Maybe that way we could get even more updates after 3.0?

2. Do you guys think the Epic 4G will come to Europe? I would love to have the keyboard for playing games.

3. Do you guys think that the Playstation and Nintendo 64 emulators will work good on the Samsung Galaxy S?

1. Probably not for a little while. Got to get 2.2 first! But they'll be ports in time and I expect it'll eventually get to us officially.

2. Should do. If not you'll be able to import it and unlock it I should think.

3. Not sure if the Galaxy S has the power for these emulators, does very well with the Snes, Genesis, and gameboy emulators but PSX and N64 are a bit more powerful. You never know though.
Maybe someone else could shed some light on this as I don't really know?

So if the epic 4g comes to europe, maybe so it will do the droid x, htc evo, etc? I think the problem is that they are designed to a specific carrier in the US, so it worries me that because of that they wont come out of the US.

Maybe the PSX and N64 emulators will work better when new android phones with 2Ghz CPU. Its just a guess.

I think the Galaxy S is more than enough for PSX and N64 emulation. The Hummingbird CPU and the PowerVR SGX540, conjuged together, are enough powerful for PSX and N64 emulation at full speed. The Hummingbird is as powerful as a Pentium 3 of 1GHz or probably more.
