Gingerbread Email Phenomenon

Since updating to Gingerbread, i have noticed something odd when my corporate email arrives on my SGS. I get the notification as per and when i drag down the top bar, it says i have x unread emails.

So i then go into the email and read and action email etc and leave with no unread emails - but when the next email comes in, the notification states i have x+1 emails.....this continues to increase despite deleting the new emails and having no unread ones.

With Froyo, it only showed the no. of Unread emails i have but this doesnt seem to work the same way and is rather odd.

Anyone else noticing this?

PS. Gingerbread is amazingly speedy tho!

Scroll right to the bottom of your inbox list you may find there is a unread one

Just read back my original post ad realised it isnt clear. Basically my notification says i have x new emails when i have acted on them and deleted them. So its is saying i have 45 new emails when i have only 16 in my inbox - because i have had 45 notifications on my phone!

Its almost like its just adding 1 more email onto the notification msg without actually showing the real no. of new emails in the inbox.

i get the same thing, i wouldn't call it a phenomenon though...more of a bug imo

doesnt happen with my hotmail account though......possibly just a microsoft activesync issue.
