There's the next best thing to that called "NoLED". It puts a coloured dot or icon on the screen if you receive a message when your phone is locked, however due to the way AMOLED works it doesn't use much power as it is just lighting a small cluster of pixels. I'd rather have an app to flash the capacitive lights (maybe the left one for missed message and right for missed call) but this is the next best thing.

I've also set it to vibrate every 5 mins that I don't unlock the screen to see the message which is pretty useful.

Sorry for double post but this one's unrelated - I just removed the AccuWeather widget from my desktops and decided to re-add it, and now it's half the width it used to be. Anyone know why?

Also, does anyone find the UI judders on scrolling your desktop or through the android app store?

No once i pinch zoom and then double click it zooms right out again. So thats not the action you wanted right?

That's adjustable by double clicking or some such way I stretched it out again. I changed for beautiful widgets weather though as it's much more stylish. Anyone else notice how hot this thing gets when using Hspda and the battery goes down fast. I hadn't noticed till I went to London today and wasn't using wifi. With wifi it's fine but either 3G or Hspda made it really quite hot!!

Quite hot equates to high battery consumption. I hope it's rather that you've been using it a lot.

Thanks, yeah used noled on my original sgs, but could never seem to get it to work right! As to the heat issue, yeah mine gets quite warm with browsing, both on wi-fi and hsdpa or 3G.

I find it only gets hot when gaming or GPS (charging and screen on 100%)I remoed the unaccuweather rubbish. The weather service used for the fancy widget is spot on for me here. They said thunderstorm today a week ago and amazing we had a thunderstorm this arvo. Accuweather reported cloudy :| Big fail and its not the first time.

Is that with auto-fit pages enabled in settings? If so, thats disappointing. I only found out two days ago that me SGSI can reflow to whatever zoom level you want by pinch zoom and then double tap if auto-fit is enabled!

With it enabled and set to desktop agent. I just use the gyro zoom now and its fine for me. But not good if the SGS has it and the SGSII doesn't. Got your phone yet NZ ?
