    Aaaaargh!!!

    Can anyone please let me know if there exists a working method to root the SGS? I have tried super one click soooooooo many times to no avail. Surely there must be someway to do it...

    I did mine with SuperOneClick just yesterday...
    Did you unmount your SD card, and put USB into Debugging????

    All of the above methods should work fine. What error message are you receiving?

    I have unmounted the sd card, clicked usb debugging, after running super 1 click it just holds at "running psneuter" and then freezes, still not sure what is going wrong!

    Now tried to root using Odin, semi bricked 'phone twice now!! Surely there must be at least one working method?

    Those root methods have been tested by many people so I don't think there is any problem with them. When you say there is also problem with Odin method, I start thinking could it be the USB cable you use or the USB connection of your pc has problem? Also another thing could also cause problem is the internal storage of the phone, so if you are going to rebuild your phone, it might worth reformat it and have another go.
