    Thanks

Just done it on my replacement Galaxy S2 (the first one had a defective back button)
I had to to wipe all data to get CSC:XEUKD1 (XEU csc), reboot did not do it.

A small difference I noted is that now Swype option for Audio Feedback is selectable (I prefer this to vibration)

NB Had a desire previously and it's so much easier on the Galaxy S2

Ah thats good to know Did you do this step cause I thought factory reset will clear all the data?

STEP 8- One last final step is to change your CSC code by typing this code in the phone dialer *#272*<your IMEI># (the code will be listed at the top of the screen. If you're coming from O2 PAYG handset it should say O2U. Now Enter recovery (volume up, home, power keys together) and do a factory reset and choose reboot phone Check your CSC code again Hopefully it will now say XEU
I also notice that if you allow google to backup your data before, it now gives you a choice to restore all your apps (without the app data) when you setup your phone after reset or from new install on a Gingerbread rom. It doesn't happen before on my Froyo though.
Phone: Samsung Galaxy I9100 Unlocked/ Rooted
    Network: O2 UK
    Baseband version: I9100XXLPQ

Thanks a lot for this post, just what I was looking for! My S2 will be on Orange though so just a quick request:

Could anyone tell me what the CSC original code is for an Orange handset?
Also could anyone possibly provide me with / tell me where I can get the original Orange Firmware from to flash it back to stock?

    Many thanks

Is it possible to unbrand/unlock my phone being from Portugal? Locked to a portuguese cell phone company? I'm kinda of a noob in smart phone stuff... SGS2 is my first one.

I've just done this but i'm having problems changing the CSC code. Mine is H3G, when I do the factory reset it says "applying mutli-csc... installing multi-csc. Can't access to '/system/csc/H3G/system/'. Successfully applied multi-csc"

Not sure what this all really means? Don't really understand the problem with the CSC code saying H3G, everything works fine and i'm not on 3 Mobile which is what the code is from.
