    Best overclock app

    Hi peeps

    I am using set cpu at 1000mhz is it true that the galaxy can get upto 1600mhz??? if so which app do i need to do it please?

    SetCPU will let you overclock, not sure off the top of my head the max frequency though. Being an avid PC overclocking, be warned that first every cpu's potential is different so you may not even be able to exceed 1200. Also if you do overclock I would set a profile to only do it temporarily for when you need the performance because you will degrade the cpu's life especially with lack of adequate cooling.

    Custom Rom with a overclockable kernel will let you do 1200 Mhz. Some Galaxy S's have reportedly done 1600. Mine locks up over 1300 Mhz. I don't recommend overlocking. Its not worth the increased heat and low battery life. Its juts really for benchmark geeks.

    Thanks for the reply is it really worth doing anything with setcpu??? i mean i am having trouble with that at moment so will uninstall it will i notice much difference? had it set at 1000Mhz

    Not really unless you want to race another SGS. Our processors are set to 1Ghz anyway so you wasn't overclocked
