Turn on flight mode and leave phone alone for a few hours. See if battery has dropped by much. If battery is still pretty much the same (it should be) then you have an app running which is coonecting to data and using battery. If battery still drops significantly there is a fault somewhere....
My battery currently at 63% since coming off charge Thursday evening....

Thanks guys. This morning after taking off charge, I left it for a while without using it and was still on 100% after about 1hr. After my previous post last night I adjusted various settings. I will monitor it for a bit. Cheers

Also I don't even get 1% every 15 minutes while listening to the loudspeaker streaming radio over wifi.

even i am stuck with the same problem. any luck ?

I was astounded when I saw what people were posting for battery life. My phone charges all night and still drops to 99% the first minute it's off the charger. I do not use any media, I don't use internet, watch videos, or play music, and I don't run Wi-fi, GPS, or 3G. I've followed all the advice from the articles and YouTube videos on how to prolong battery life. Basically, all I do is text (frequent) and make call (infrequent) and my battery lasts about 5-6 hours. And this is with a 3600mAh extended battery!
My phone's been this way since original purchase about a year ago. My display used to use the vast majority of the battery, but since the last update that was forced on me, now it's my OS. The Samsung salespeople tell me this is the best I can expect from this phone. Really, guys?
I love the phone, just not the battery life.

Check what's syncing and turn off anything you don'y need. Apps like Facebook (if you have it) also by default set to sync at something like every minute. This constant syncing will kill the battery in no time.

Hi I have had an S2 for some time now and the best thing I did was put a slightly larger battery in (about £30.00) this did not make much difference to the thickness of the mobile. Also when I change roms I discharge the battery then charge full without use. I also have the power saver option on. My mobile lasts for about one and half days before I need to charge it. I use a live wallpaper too so really pleased with mine, looking forward to the S3. Pluto

my sgs 2 can last from 7am till 11pm and I'm on forums all day, my only problems are buggy custom roms which start out very good but force close or turn the phone off, I'm constantly putting new roms on in the hope that I find a reliable one lol I like aokp format.
oh and I have soldered 2 Samsung batteries together/ cut a hole in my case and also on flip case, you can't tell it has been done!

a tip I find useful is, force close google maps and other non operating system reliant apps if you don't use them, I know maps is persistent if not forced to close.

Average battery life before requiering recharge is abot 12/15 hrs. Considering that i use WIFI and surf the net four to five times a day for an average of 45mins and i video record when i am driving. Using vid recorder does drain battery pretty quick. I'd say i could get about 8/10hrs recording if running it non stop. Video recording also makes the phone hot near the ear piece. I usually charge the phone once in a 24hr period.
