Don't expect miracles, it's 10% more than SGS1's battery, however it does seem to handle itself well due to gingerbread and samsung's battery saving mode (practically turns off battery using stuff when it hits a certain battery level, it's set in options) - as always the battery life will depend how you use it.

I've not had the phone long enough to test it accurately, however with moderate use (2 hours 3g/wifi internet, email set to 4 hr sync, couple of calls and lots of texts - wifi and gps always on) I'm sitting on... 49% at 9.37pm, it has been unplugged for 11 hours. Not too shabby, in a normal day, I reckon I'd get much more out of it, its only because I've been idle and off work today :-)

I can actually see on the graph when its sitting idle, its using veeeeery little battery at all, talking about 1% per 30-60 mins

This would probably be best if you could tick multiple - e.g. 12h heavy usage, 20h moderate usage, 48hrs idle.

For me I get about 12-14h on moderate-heavy use, but I doubt that's indicative of how the battery life will be in a couple of weeks.

EDIT: Since the latest firmware update, my battery life has significantly increased.

Since I updated firmware and removed some samsung stuff too my battery life is pretty good. I takes a few hours to drop from 100% to 99% sometimes. Not like SGS which dropped 1% in a few minutes it seemed.1 day and 20 hours with moderate use. And I was at 50% battery. I think I might be able to make 4 days on a signal charge. Most of the time my signal is mediocre at best Some flight mode time when I slept must have helped. That charge bar was in usb in mass stroage mode to move a file.

This is the best android phone I have used so far on behalf of battery life. Definitely doubles the battery life of SGS under similar usage. I believe this phonei s a breakthrough for the battery problem of android touch phones with large screens.

It's my first Android phone so no comparisons but I have to say I'm very disappointed. With not what I call heavy use the battery's gone by the end of the day and with heaby use it doesn't make it. That includes top-up charging through the day, albeit from a PC so not a full-power input.

I'm going to have to reorganise how I use my mobile / buy a spare battery and separate charger. The other option seems to be Titanium backup but after the constant care my cooked i8910 needed I'm not sure I want to go down that path.

In case that all sounds too negative I must say I'm loving using the phone

I am a new Android user after using iphone 2 in the last few years. I love the SGS2 but the battery is ridiculously disappointing.... ok it's still new and I do spend like 2-3 hours a day adding apps / widgets / connecting to Skype (but not using it) all via Wifi ... and the battery only last about 15 hours .. bearing in mind 8 hours are in Airplane mode while I sleep. So the actual time is only about 7 hours with 2-3 hours usage.

Once it's charged to 100%, it almost drop 1% every 15 minutes or so if I don't use it. If I do, then it goes down more. The main thing is Display somewhere between 20%-50% !! Is this normal ???

I have been 1. Killing apps, 2. turn down brightness completely (the phone is too bright for me and i am indoors all day), 3. 3G off, 4. Dark still wallpaper 5. Almost deleted all the widgets except the clock and weather which can only be updated manually. 6. Deleting apps that pop up for no reasons like BBC News (coz' i don't set any automatic updates) 7. Discharging it and re-charging it completely at least 3 times.

Please let me know what else I can do BEFORE I attempt to delete Social Hub and all those useless Samsung Apps (as they keep popping up) ... coz' I am not a computer and Android person and I simply don't understand all those threads iro downloading Titanium and get the phone rooted (?) ...... any suggestion would be appreciated.
