Ok, so I have a Galaxy S, rooted (SuperOneFix/Click method) with Darkys 9.5 XWJS8, kernel versionl, 2.6.32.9 ficeto@vpn #Dark_Core_1.2, baseband version I9000XXJVE
I am toying with the idea of reverting to an official Rom but am not sure how I go about it.
I have looked at other threads regarding this but didn't find them altogether clear in terms of my specific set up and reverting.
Would it be a simple case of updating via kies or odin to an official rom or is there more to it.
The only thing I know I need to do before doing anything is disable the lagfix.
I still want the phone rooted so that I can apply a lagfix but might want to revert to an official Rom.
The reason being that I haven't noticed any marked change in battery life since flashing Darkys and even if I don't revert now, it would be good to know how to for future referrence, should I need to take the phone back for repair if something should go wrong with it.
I hope I am clear in what I am asking here and would appreciate any help, a step by step guide would be even better as I do tend to get a little confused. lol.
Thank you in advance
Alison

Depending on what firmware your flashing depends on what and how to flash
