MTF/Sync flashing between homescreen and sync screen

When I try to connect to my PC the handset just keeps flipping between the black MFT screen (with the image of the USB cable) and the home screen.

It used to work fine and I think this started when I rooted and/or applied the SD/NAND fix.

Anyone else have this issue or have any suggestions on how to fix this? Do I need to reset my phone to factory settings and if so how do I do that?

P.S. I can transfer files to the phone via Dropbox so I could potentially use a different update.zip if that is possible.

Same problem here - since the 1st time I used Keis - after the 4th reinstall I can now manually copy in storage mode and doubletwist now recofgnises the phone , but no Kies no media, no ability to do kenral upgrades or manage my contacts - I'll be returning the phone soon if this does not get resolved.

How do I set it to storage mode? The development flag?
