Well almost a year on I've been very pleased in general with Darky's 9.5. I've had no major issues and if I don't use the phone much I get 10% battery loss in 7 hours. It's been great really and faster than my PC for a lot of things. I had a bad one at the weekend though...
I'd been taking a lot of pictures but I was a long way from a full memory, battery was ~90%. I took a picture and was about to take another when I noticed a blurred but frozen image on the screen. Nothing responded then suddenly it rebooted. When it booted fully it took me to a setup screen to choose language, keyboard etc. When past that I had a basic desktop and different wallpaper. My contacts had all gone and I was continually getting force close messages. Basic phone worked and surprisingly so did the stock browser but not Dolphin HD amd most other aps it seems including ROM manager and Titanium Backup which all caused force closures.
The Three Button boot to recovery worked which allowed me to restore a recent backup - all contacts back and only a few aps needing upgrade - phew!
What caused that then? Did the camera stamp over the system area?
