Amazon Appstore working or not?

I downloaded the apk for Amazon Appstore and installed it. When trying to download free stuff from there (after signing in, of course) I keep on getting an error saying the price(?) of the item has changed and the download has failed.

Has anyone managed to download anything from the Appstore?

Same problem here, tried to get angry birds rio from the amazon.com appstore and it fails saying 'The amazon appstore for android is not yet available in your region'

It doesn't work outside US, so far there is no date for UK release.

Is Amazon offering anything different to what AppBrain or Android Market are? I checked the games section quickly and couldn't see anything new.

There are so many Angry Birds variations I didn't notice. Looked a bit further and it seems there's another game Highborn, on Iphone first. Still nothing to celebrate about.

Apparently, you can change your amazon.com 1-click-order address to a US one to get the game in UK, but even when you get the game if you then uninstall the appstore the game won't work!

EDIT: Or, you could just search google for a 'different' version (twingo), which works without the amazon appstore, and in any country. It's free on the amazon app store afterall, so it's not that dodgy :P
