Out of curiosity, did you try it? I tried twice to locate my phone with no results - it told me after few hours that search has expired or something similar.

Would this depend on if you had location services activated?

Yeah mine took about 5 minutes and it located the phone on the right street, but about 60 meters away.

I think handset location can only be achieved accurately using GPS ( if it's any good on the phone to start with ) and if that is disabled, it uses triangulation using known networks (provider networks not WiFi networks) which is notoriously innacurate anyway. Locating your phone to a drawer in someones bedroom only happens in the movies I'm afraid

I'm more interested in the Lock/Wipe feature of SamsungDive. If my phone is lost/stolen then I'll have to deal with it (well my insurance company will ) but I really don't want some random having access to all the stuff I keep on it.

I mean, what if they found my donkey porn collection ?!

To be fair, when I tried it, my GPS was turned off initially (and the phone was indoors), but once the result had come back, the phone had turned the GPS on by itself - so I guess if you lost it outside in a feild or something, then the location would probably be pretty good, but otherwise not great. The lock/wipe options are good though
