    Need 2e kernel...

    Good day,

    I was able to root my phone using z4root...

    And i was phone is capable of the 3 button combo (recovery mode).

    But my kernel is still 3e since i'm on froyo 2.2

    how can i change my kernel to 2e?

    hope anyone can help.

    I don't think there's a huge difference (it's said so in that post too): if you want to play safe use one that's closer to your version: either JP6 or JPA.
    Or you could flash JPY (or install it with Kies as I did) which is basically a froyo updated (2.2.1) but much, MUCH faster and smoother. Then you could flash the exact kernel JPY.

    But if you are thinking to switch to a custom rom (such as the awesome Darky's) and you are getting 2e just for that, I wouldn't go through all this trouble but only pick any kernel.
