    New I9000XWJG5 ?

    Has anyone flashed to this?

    Im on XXJF3 and really need to update as the battery life on this thing is killing me.

    The guys at xda seem to think its eliminated lag,I avnt botherd flashing as im running with the nand fix so lag not an issue.There are supposibly a few other issues with this firmware

    I've flashed it and its good. No swype bug either. Thats fixed.

    Is it as quick as using the nand fix

    Having played with this firmware i will say its the best standalone solution for laging-however the jg1 with modoco r2 and mcr sripts enabled was still a bit faster

    i aint tried that r2 rom, but i find this firmware a million times faster, and i know i werent asked the question lol

    Im actually running r2 with this firmware now with 0 problems and it seems slightly quicker than jg1 with r2.I know your not supposed to run r2 on anything but jg1 but was gonna flash back so thought why not give it a go.I have tried and tried to make it lag but just cant on jg5+r2 the memory managment just seems better.

    hey, im wanting to flash to this firmware, but my phone doesnt connect to kies. Just shows up in my computer.
    Is it vital that my phone be able to do this before i flash?

    No as long as it opens port in odin.I pluiged in into pc in usb debug mode and windows 7 found all required drivers
