    Where to put a ringtone

    I have a ringtone on my PC that I want to use.
    Where do I place it, what folder so that I can use it

    On your phone memory (sdcard, mite work on external sd) create a folder called 'Ringtones' then place your ringtone into that folder and it should work

    You can place music files anywhere on the SGS and the phone will pick it up. You can also choose to select ringtones from the music player.

    For Tufftoads advice:

    - open internal music player
    - play the ringtone you want
    - while playing touch the left menu button and select "Set as"
    now you can directly set it as your ringtone or at least put it to the ringtone library
