Been playing with SpeedMOD kernel for sometime now and must say, its good, you can get additional RAM but lose out on 720p recording.
They do say you will get better battery from using the kernel, but if anything, my battery has been going down faster than any other kernel..
Latest tried SpeedMOD K12D - This is a RC so could be a minor bug.

Using 2.6.32.9root@sep-60 #1 which I believe is an older one, but it came with Darky's ROM and I don't feel the need to change it.....yet

Gotta say the battery drain on this is way better than JPX for me, but I know that's not the case for others - weird.

Playing with the new kernel that is in insanity ROM.

Super Optimised Kernel 4.6.1 - CLICK HERE

Allows overclocking of the CPU - Dont wanna go there though lol
Lagfixing options - There is overkill where you can apply EXT4 + EXT2 Binds or JFS + EXT2 Binds. Both give results in quadrant of 1800+ and in some cases, closer to 2000.

Battery life is still very impressive with all lagfixes applied, cant see no difference with or without lagfixes applied. Very nice!!!

Practically, this kernel has the features of voodoo, speedMOD and OCLF combined. Not a bad kernel if i do say so!

Slightly off topic, but since we are taling about kernels... anyone can point me to a "clean" JPX kernel? Since flashing CF Root + 2e kernel I'm not able to connect my phone to the PC and would like to try reverting to a stock kernel to see if it fixes the problem.

    thanks
