I can't wait when I can unfold my 10" phone to use it like a tablet, then fold it up to make a call then put it back into my pocket![]()

Erm...that's cool :?
I like where the development is going, can see slightly curved mobile screens and transparent amoleds working their way in to the market.
Right, thought I would have another check as to what Samsung have been doing. My initial post regarding the flexible screens and the clear displays was released around Nov 10, which are appearing in concepts designs in my other thread (Future Designs).
The curved screens are only about 7mm thick.
In Jan 11 Samsung showcased their display at CES 2011, here's a snippet:
Samsung Mobile Display, which has already been mucking about with a flexible display at CES, holds a huge 98.3 percent share of the AMOLED market. But with the Hitachi, Toshiba and Sony merger rumoured to be on the cards, Samsung's place in mobile display overall will face stiff competition.

AS well as what will be happening, thought I would post this article which explains how Samsung got to where they are currently....Super AMOLED that is.
How We Got “Super” Displays on Samsung Mobile Phones Using Super AMOLED

Here's a further development. I'm sure I've seen this before somewere but for those of you have not, Samsung have also developed the folding OLED display. It'll be just a matter of time before these appear on the market...if not already.

No more worries regarding dropping your Samsung phone....apart from the casing maybe.
Samsung have developed unbreakable screens, whether or not the screen in the video below is AMOLED or OLED I'm not too sure, but this is a good step forward.
Another reason for the video is for the cheesy Korean AMOLED song that accompnies the video
And for those of you who didn't know, amongst the numerous innards that Samsung provide for Apple's iPhone the lovely Retina Display is also supplied by Samsung.
While Apple are busy suing their main supplier for the iPhone, The Korean Herald reports that Apple Inc. COO, Tim Cook had a meeting with Samsung execs regarding the supply of AMOLED displays for the iPAD3

So this should also be making it's way on to the market very soon, here's a couple of videos regarding Samsung's Transparent AMOLED displays.
