    2.2.1 update - Internet Browser

    Hi all

Generally I like the improvements in the 2.2.1 release. It fixes a few bugs and the browser (and general Android experience) seems faster. However, is it just me, or have they got rid of the "scroll bars" in the browser? That is, the bars that run down the right and bottom-side of the screen to show you where you are on the page relative to the whole thing. This is especially useful when zoomed in to a large page...

I don't get them anymore - is anyone else able to confirm this or is it just me?!

    Cheers
    James

P.S. I am using the official JPX release off Kies.

You can actually get it through Kies. I updated to the latest Kies, then used the Kies Reg Hack as described here. Worked well for me!

I've noticed that the picture quality on many websites using the native browser on the Galaxy is really poor. For example, using the BBC or Facebook mobile sites the pictures look really grainy; on previous handsets I've used this has never been an issue. I've looked in the settings to see if there's something to fix this, but can't spot anything obvious. Has anyone else experienced this at all?

I'm in the UK on the T-Mobile network.

    TIA,
    Joseph

It is worth seeing if you get the same issue while on Wi-Fi. I too am on T-Mobile and they compress images at their servers before sending the data to your handset. Saves on your usage but can make pictures genuinely hard to make out!
