I used OCLF off the market place which worked fine. Do you mean when the phone reboots from applying the lagfix? Or are you trying to apply a lagfix through any of the 3 button combos?

Have you rooted your phone? You should have an app called 'super user', then you can apply the lagfix and it should work.

I used Super One click Fix on JPY and it worked, the thread was on XDA HERE

There used to be an app called z4root on the market place, can't find it any more though. There are a couple of ways to rooting your phone.

The following link is a guide from this forum - Link

Root, apply lagfix and then should be fast enough for you.

Just found another guide which I first used and preferred to any of the others - HERE **ONLY USE THIS LINK IF YOUR CSC IS XEU!!!**

I think more likely its the add on software thats the problem. Either your service provider's bloatware or the software you downloaded from the market. I have a very light background in computer programming and i've noticed a lot of apps in the market require too many permissions than normally would be required. That is why I stay on the safe side and downloaded very few apps. Only the ones I feel require the right permissions and don't do unnecessary activities. My unit is running 2.2, no lagfix, no carrier bloatware and very few apps installed. It is very quick and responsive. The only lag I sometimes get is about a 1 second delay and that is when I am doing a lot of operations one after another and multitasking. Maybe some of the technical people can verify this as this is only a hunch of mine.

I agree with Bigtwiggy. I have gone from a reliable fast 2.1 running OCLF, to a rediculously laggy and slow (upwards of 10 second response times!) 2.2. I have installed via Odin, twice! Factory reset and installed OCLF with z4root and still it's a laggy pile off S**T!!! I'm getting fed up with the phone now tbh. It was good. but now's verging on unusable. It's not just the lag either, thing like since the upgrade my internet speeds are a joke too is another annyonce.

Had a play with a HTC Desire HD and that was sooo slick. Spec wise I don't think there's anything in it, but it was great compared to my SGS.

    Hey Guys,

I use a Samsung Galaxy S phone and am seeing considerable problems with the touch response particularly during messaging.Am seeing severe lag issues while i type a message. Either incorrect characters get typed or some characters get missed altogether, though i type them. The touch response is sucking big time , while messaging. Do any of you know what the issue is and how it can be fixed.

    Please let me know.

    Saggy
