New Orange phones shipping with Froyo?

I have had a Galaxy S for a few months which is running the 2.1 software, I received a new phone from Orange UK today (for my daughter for Christmas) and it seems to be running 2.2 Froyo. Don't know if this is news or not?

Interesting, i guess they might have given you an unbranded handset. What do you get if you enter *#1234# ?
