    I take it that's a 2.2 firmware that used 512.pit.

So all you need to do is add the JPY file to PDA then flash

It was an upgrade to 2.2 i got through Kies - so no idea of the pit.

If thats the case then i shall try the flash to get JPY. So i wont need a Phone or CSC file? Awesome!!

Ok - just upgraded to kies 2.0 and got an upgrade to JP6 now - which i have checked and runs on 803 pit. So does this mean i have to include the 512 pit in the flash process along with the JPY in the PDA box and all should go smoothly?

    Apologies for all the questions!

    You could try it without and see if it works or;

Tick Repartition, add 512.pit and JPY to the PDA box.

This is the way I did it:

Tick Repartition and added 512.pit > Flashed.
Re-enter download mode > Add JPY to PDA box > Flashed Don't know why I did it this way, or remember why

2.Open ODIN. (And close Kies, if you have it open. It is important to have ODIN open BEFORE connection the phone via USB!)
3.Select the PDA and .PIT files in Odin.
4.Turn the phone into the download mode by pressing and holding VolumeDown+Home+Power.
5.Connect your phone with your computer and wait until the drivers are installed.
6.When the drivers are installed, click Start.
7.The phone will be flashed and once it’s finished, it will boot up. (Do NOT disconnect the usb-cable, remove the battery or otherwise interrupt this process!)
8.You have successfully flashed your phone.

I have version XXJM2 on my phone. How can I upgrade it?

    Firmware Version: 2.1 Update 1
    Baseband Version: I9000XXJM2
    Kernel Version: 2.6.29 root@SE-S603 #2
    Build Number: Eclair, POJM2

I will need additional languages to it like French, English, Arabic, Italian, Spanish, Portugese.

P.S: I was the owner of a Samsung Omnia i900, new to the Android world now. So I am a NOOB!

    Pls Help.
